In a small sports car, 2 channel is perfect - it provides a strong frontal sound stage without any of the weird phasing and other effects that come form having a duplicated sound stage in the rear as well.

I reckon they got the sound system right for this car. A strong front sound stage augmented with LF subs behind the seats. It sounds great to me!
