One glance should have told him, the base coupe comes in one color (black) and is TOTALLY blacked out. The only chrome is on the grille. The door handles, the side vents, even the windshield surround (which is silver on the 2004 and the 2005 limited), is blacked out. No fog lights, no leather, no subwoofers! No dealer would have gotten all the parts to make it a limited from a base, it would have cost too much and way too much time to install.
The salesman even drove an x-fire, coupe. The more I run the day through my mind the more I believe they thought I was an idiot. Even after I told them what you just mentioned. The dealer Jerry Ulm in Tampa was just awarded some big "best of" dodge award for the entire country. They must have a gazillion cars on the lot, jeeps, dodges, chryslers, but not 1 x-fire.
