Alpine has some surprisingly affordable head unit with full speed ipod control.
It would also add other features such as mp3 and such.
I have a pioneer nav all in one unit avic z1 but the pioneer ipod control is full function but not full speed.
It depends what you want.
If good sound quality , deck control, and no wires is a must seriously look int a new head unit.
