Here's hoping this guy installed them wrong or something... Ruined rotors in 3,000 miles, sounds kind of extreme?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... you can feel a "shudder" in the brake pedal as a rotor starts to warp and they can be turned before things get out of hand??? A few months after having new pads installed on my '94 Civic SI I felt a shudder. My trusted Honda tech said the rotors were warped. Had them turned and reinstalled... work great now.
