That's the real issue.
We'd all like 300+ rear wheel HP, but 300 rwhp on a Bentley is not going to move you as fast as 300 rwhp on a Crossfire.
Well we can base the OEM power to weight on "golfdude's" stock dyno of 168 rwhp and the OEM curb weight of 3,056 lbs. That would put the stock Crossfire at 1:18.19 at the wheels.
And mine at 192 rwhp with a wet curb weight of 2,640 lbs at 1:13.75
Compare that to a stock Lotus elise that is putting 158 hp to the wheels and weighs 1,980 lbs is running a PW ratio of 1:12.53
I think my calcs. are correct... Someone can double check me...
I still have about 100 + lbs I can get out of the car, but it might bump me up a class with my sanctioning body, so I'm being very cautious about those changes for now, until I get my 2007 season annual tech inspection. We're thinking of replacing the rear hatch with fiberglass and lexan and still haven't removed the steel frames inside both door and replace the glass with Lexan. We can also cut out alot of the steel in the front wheel wells and install a Lexan windshield.
