My experience with an S2K says otherwise but like I said the driver sucked ***. I autocross the Porsche so I know how to drive. The GT stanger definitely had me in the straights but at 120 mph it wasn't pulling away. And as well all know the world is not a straight line which is why I always laugh at the straight line power guys.
I'm in no way saying the Xfire is a dragster or a fast car. I'm saying that at the speeds I've driven at in both my Porsche and the Xfire people with much more horsepower have been beaten by a much better driver.
I for one know that straight line power cars are fun, but not as fun as cars that handle with decent power. But this whole blow the doors off thing is silly. The stanger had me by like maybe a car length and a half on route 8 and once it got twisty I had him by like 10 car lengths so you do the math.
Usually big HP straight line people drive like **** because they never learn the ins and outs of their particular car and how to ring the most out of it. I know at what speed my car does what and its capabilities at the limit of its performance. Straight line guys hardly ever do because the car is doing most of the work for them.
Attack me if you will but my little S2 with 220 hp has been quite happy beating cars with much more horsepower all over the back roads of CT. I don't do stop light racing as it wouldn't be fair to me.
