Hmmm... this could be a liability problem if you sell/trade it and have to sign an odometer statement saying that the numbers displayed are correct to the best of your knowledge. I think I'd be trying to get the dealership to "fix" the readout to what it SHOULD be (i.e., add however miles were on it to the current reading, and change the reading to that new number).
