Sharon's post got me to thinking when she said the Crossfire had "just" 215 HP.
Listed below are some Cubic inch, and Horse Power ratings taken from the Oct.1971 issue of Motor Trend magazine.
Keep in mind, these are all "V8" engines with 4 brl. carbs. (Except the XF of course).

As you can see, all things are "relative".
Personally, I think the h.p. of a Limited XF, is ideally suited for it's wheelbase and weight. If I had wanted a "drag racer", I would have purchased the SRT-6.
