x'ed,
Evidently you didn't read the details of the system last posted by psuperti. It shows an alternator shaft, belt driven unit that is NOT electric.
Details from the Tomas Knight website state...
OUR AWESOME 2007 BELT DRIVE TURBO (BDT) MOUNTED TO A CUSTOM DUAL SHAFT ALTERNATOR IS CREATING QUITE A BUZZ. NO NEED FOR SPECIAL BELTS AND TENSIONERS, THE NEW DESIGN IS SO SIMPLE THE ORIGINAL ALTERNATOR BELT IS RETAINED IN MOST APPLICATIONS. AVAILABLE AS A UNIVERSAL MOUNTING KIT AND SPECIFIC SYSTEMS FOR DOZENS OF IMPORTS AND DOMESTICS AS WELL. SET FOR A SAFE 5-6 PSI, THESE CAN BE MODIFIED FOR 12-15 PSI ON BUILT ENGINES. STARTING AT ONLY $1,695
This is a belt driven turbo charger, not an electric super charger. Please keep on the same page people, we don't need any more friction here than necessary.
Lastly, the ECU should easily be able to compensate for 5-6 PSI. Anything more than that and you probably would have to have your ECU A:F ratios remapped.
