The car feels good when test driving, but pushing it in to first gear is very hard and doesn't feel half like shifting in to any of the other gears, is this normal and will it be okay? Also when at idle I try to lift up the rear spoiler, and goes and stops about 3 times before fully deploying, but when I retract it, it comes back down smoothly without stopping, is this normal?
Thanks.
They are hard to shift into gear when cold usually reverse is a bit stubborn, drive the car for about 5 miles and it will loosen up. Some require the TSB updates on the early 6 speed cars built in 2003, which the dealers are very lazy about doing. Make sure the car you purchase has had all the TSB updates done before buying the car. Otherwise move on to another car.
manually moving the spoiler up and down is a bit goofy, if you deploy it just tap the spoiler button a couple times to change the angle, and if you want it closed hold the spoiler button for 7 sec, until it beeps. and if your rolling above 58 mph you can't close it until about 55 mph, otherwise just pop out the spoiler fuse if it bothers you.
