Kjmurphy, what is the production date of your car printed on your door? 2004 or 2005?
I'm only asking because Karmann may have changed their "inner fender" painting process on a specific date. Or maybe SRT's continued on with the body color like the 04's had.
I believe the "textured" coating (that's factory applied) is of the PVC family.
When ever I hear the word "undercoating" I instantly think of that black tar-like substance similar to "Z-Bart" rust proofing.
