Hold on there... your not being nice!!! We have real lakes and real trees here ... just have to drive out of the desert about 60 miles to get to them.
There's something for everyone here. You get green maybe what... 5 months out of the year? It look's nice but you can have all the humidity, mosquitoes, bugs and rain that goes with it. We get 300 plus days of sunshine out here. Can you honestly say you can plan your family reuinon or company picnic on a certain weekend ten weeks in advance, without worrying if it's going to rain? We can.
Then when summer is over... it's back to brown looking dead trees and grass, cold damp dreary days and don't forget that yucky white stuff that quickly turns to ice and slush.... Oh, then you get potholes and road construction all summer. Been there done that... no thanks.
Desert rats rule!!! We have it all......... :wink: :wink: :wink:
We have beautiful blue skies almost every day of the year with no (or little) humidity. Here is an example of what we can do everyday!!! :!:
BTW, we are 45 minutes away from a beautiful ski resort with plenty of trees (I can see snow from my house as I type) and in the other direction, we are 45 minutes away from Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. Who could ask for anything more :?:
