I am not saying that Chrysler needs to sell the SRT for 40K. But there is a big space in their product line between 215hp and 330hp. Who in their right mind would pay 35K for an impotent 215hp convertible? It's almost embarrassingly laughable. There are too many other choices in the marketplace to give this car serious consideration.
It is also unfair to compare a consumer of an SLK with that of a potential Crossfire purchaser. You are dealing with two different breeds of cat. The price of a crossfire has little if any impact on the decision making of a potential SLK buyer.
