I bought my 2005 XF Limited about a week ago and discovered this forum today.

I've been reading through a lot of the threads and would like to ask you all for some suggestions for someone who is NOT interested in time consuming projects or souping up the car. I really am not a car hobbyist.
I'm happy with the way the stock SF looks... but might want to check into spoiler grills, blue stem valve caps and minor eye candy items.

Basically I'm looking for minor mods/accessories on the cheap.

I like what I'm reading about the sprint booster, as we all know the acceleration lag on the Automatics.
Not sure if I want to drop $250. I'd like to remove the acceleration lag AND increase fuel economy (when not stomping the accelerator).

I'm also considering the K&N(?) air filters, but my mechanic suggested I not bother with them. What are the advantages with going with the filter/duel filter system? I installed one on my old Eclipse and was pleased... until I had to clean it. It was a real bear getting the canister out of the engine.

I also really liked the way the illuminated plates look, but I'm not going to bother with that type of project.

I also would consider minor HP boosting modifications. Not wanting any programmable chips.

Any suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated.
