It seems that lots of us have been introduced to this great car because there are lots of low mileage "executive driven" cars out there at unbelievable prices.
I bought mine in August for $21,000 (US) with 1,700 miles on it and I love it! I think that there is a small window of opportunity to score a car like mine or the one you almost got because they're so rare and almost none were sold in 2006. Good luck hunting! A Xfire is worth every penny of the retail price and seriously undervalued at the moment. IMHO.
