i've about decided that the benz windshield is inferior. seems that any kind of hit makes it chip and that's not a problem i'm used to having on my other cars.

anyway, i don't trust the shop to get a new one put in without screwing up something so i just have the chip-guy do patches at 15-20$ each. seems to work ok and all you can see when he's done is a really tiny (head of pin-tiny) gray spot where the chip was.
