For CR it's all about the money (subscriptions). Toyota and other Japanese cars have been very reliable over the last 30 years. They know people in general are confident in them. So, it's safe to pick Toyota as an example. They would be going out on a limb if they selected an American car over a Japanese. They are not that objective. So, they play it safe. It's all about the money.
