You are not actually resetting the ECU, you are resetting the "learn" parameters of the FMU. The computer system in the Fuel Management Unit (FMU) has a learn function that adapts to the driving style of the operator.
IT IS BARELY NOTICEABLE WHEN YOU RESET THE FMU... Buy a Sprint Booster if you want quick throttle response.
