Not maybe, you do have a problem with your transmission. Many early build cars before
Dec '04 had an issue with first gear. Take it to the dealer.

Way to go. I had my entire transmission replaced in Jan '04. It has never popped out of
gear since.
Would you clarify something? In your first post you say the dealer is going to replace your
transmission. Then you took your car in for the repair and it was out of warranty. I must
of missed something, they fixed an
'out of warranty problem' and it only cost you $100?
Something with your story doesn't add up, or I would call getting an out of warranty issue
such as the transmission being fixed for $100, the mother of all bargains...
