Dallas, we have the exact same car you realize. And I tell you what, that burn smell was like no engine smell I've ever whiffed! Like a cross between electrical transformer ozone and a Mattell Thingmaker left unattended...

ANYWAY y'all: got car back this eve.
All techs had gone home.
Here's what printout report said:
-- body plugs -- 2 installed (actually they did this last week)
-- gearshift comes off -- new retaining clip installed
-- radio display inop -- new radio installed
-- engine noise -- NO ABNORMAL NOISE NOTED AT THIS TIME

So I guess that settles it. Now I must stop typing because Big Nurse is coming by with my pill cup.
