Default Re: Decided to Debadge

i debadge all of my cars and this is my method:

wash car thoroughly around the badging (power wash)... removing any dirt beneath the letters...

heat each letter with a blow dryer to loosen adhesive... (one at a time)...

side a piece of fishing line back-n-forth beneath the letter to loosen (do NOT pull up on letters - you will chip the paint w/ the sharp edge of the letter)... allow the fishing line to loosen the letter entirely until if falls off the hatch area.

use "goo gone" on a micro fiber towel to remove remaining adhesive... rubbing your finger back-n-forth on the adhesive will also aid in its removal.

polish the paint surface with a non-abrasive polish... then wax area.
