I was told by my local car audio dealer that the changer should work with the car.
I was going to get them to supply and fit it but it was to expensive so I sourced one myself.

I E-Mailed Becker to see what they say although when I first got the car I contacted them and was told it wasn't even a Becker stereo the car had.

This is true. I though I made note of this in the Phatbox/SLK Radio thread. In order to connect a Becker CD changer or Phatbox TrafficPro version to your head unit, and control it from your head unit, you need to have the NAV radio.
Maybe someone looking for a CD changer here on the forum might be interested in buying it from you.
