usually very true ... however kleemann has been making AMG superchargers for more years than AMG has (before AMG started their own operation) ... also, mercedes built vehicles are notorious for having way too tough a build for the power they output ... for example, the transmissions are rated at 400% to 600% of the engines stock torque output ... same goes for other components ... this is all done to assure great reliability but as a side effect allows for some great modding ...

but again ... wrong market .... if you had a SLK320 back when they came out and wanted to bring it to SLK32 speed wise, this would be the cheap alternative to buying the AMG ... crossfire owners ! = mercedes owners in terms of wallet thickness ...
