xfire embrace, I think you're just dazzled by what looks like a "polished, or brushed aluminum finish. In that photo, I have to admit, it does look like it's made out of stainless steel like the old Delorens were.
Actually that car just has a very expensive (one off) Show Car paint job.
Personally, I never really thought that car had much of a chance of ever getting off the ground, simply because it would have posed too much competition for the Viper, in sales.
I think we've all gotten so use to Chrysler actually producing alot of their "Idea" cars like the Viper, Prowler, PT Cruiser, and Crossfire for instance, that it was only natural to assume the Firepower was next in line.
When you think about it, it's really a shame that with the exception of the PT Cruiser, Chrysler has lost a ton of money on all the rest of their road going "Show" cars.
I'm just glad I had the opportunity to enjoy a couple of them.
