Re: Dreamer
As Andrew pointed out, that was an excellent hotel for the Carlisle meet.
It would be great to have even more Crossfires show up this year too. REDCROSS did a great job organizing everything, and we couldn't have had a better location to display our cars. (very high pedestrian traffic area).
Since our cars are so new, I think some people thought it was a Chrysler Exhibit.
This show is another great location for everybody on the East Coast, and the entire North Eastern part of the U.S. to get together.
I think it would be great if we could have one giant show in some central location for all of us to come together. But as big as our country is, it's just not that realistic to think we could make it happen.
I think it's much more feasible to take advantage of other venues, like annual car shows, and cruise-ins that are planned in locations all around our country every summer.
Various automotive magazines list these shows and get togethers, and any members who live near these various events could post pertinent information concerning them. That way, if there is some interesting show that you may be willing to do some long distance traveling to see, you may be able to hook up with some fellow Crossfire Forum members while you're at it.
As Iamfink2 (and AeroBlue in the past) has pointed out, the Tail of the Dragon is another event I plan on seeing this year. I bet it would be great to have a contingency of Crossfires show up all at once there.
I wish I could make it down to Orlando to participate in their opening day festivities at their local race track too, but it's just not economically possible for me right now.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is, that there are "Automotive Events" going on all over this here United States, all the time. And if we as group keep the Forum members up to date on them, we may all get a chance to come together as a "club" to meet and greet a little at a time. Which would be better than not at all.
Just my 2 cents.
