In Texas, at least in the county I live in, you are guilty unless you prove yourself innocent. And the court will almost always take the word of the officer over yours, because he is a trained professional to identify infractions. And often times when you take it to court, you have to pay additional court fees if you are still found guilty. It's better to take the plea bargain.
