Option... hmm? I think Stephen sells a switch as well. I wanted something really small that I could almost hide so I purchased ($2.95) a small slider switch from Radio Shack (installed on the left side of the wires in the last PIC). I too wanted to be able to shut off the LEDS with the top up, so the switch was my method.

I could have gotten very creative and run it through a micro switch in the roof, but that wasn't worth the time and effort, I can reach over and slide the switch I figured.
