Cool story rayban...I have always loved the E types! My youngest is in his second year at The University of Pittsburgh for Mechanical Engineering. Thankfully he received a full tuition scholarship from the university honors college (although room and meal plan are not included, it’s still a nice savings for us), so Dad and Mom got the 2 seater a few years earlier than planned.
I brought my first born son (now 23, with a chemistry degree and a new wife) home form the hospital in a new 1983 VW GTI. When he started college he was driving that very same GTI.
I haven't driven the Crossfire since Sunday. My driveway is quite steep, and if there is any chance of any amount of snow, i am not going to drive it. I have a Jeep for that!
