I'm only assuming because I looked in the air box from the intake and there's 2 tiny slits for the air to pass through to get into the air box and then in the manifold. I'm no physicist but having a single open intake like most CAI on import cars yield more HP than a stock air box (even though ours has 2 inlets). I can't imagine it being
more restrictive with a single 3" intake
All I'm saying is that based off my observation, stryfox's idea seems to be the best. Also when X'ed dyno'd his car with SI; having the Airbox off yielded 6 more HP.
