I did my first oil change at 5k, but thats because it was a new motor. I had to talk myself to go past the 1000 mark, as typically thats when I do the first oil change with a new motor.

When I changed it at 5k, the oil quality was very clean. From now on I will change it at 8k, unless the oil filtration monitor suggests otherwise
