Re: Chrome Roll Bar Survey
OK forum members - I called Kevin today and my chrome roll bars are done. He said they came out looking great (flawless). He said the process took a little longer than they thought due to the powder coat paint and having to take care not to get chrome in the nut threads which are welded to the bars. He is shipping them back to me Friday. Hopefully I'll get then by the end of next week. I'll take pictures of them before and after they are installed. Kevin wanted to know if the members would prefer to buy the roll bars on an exchange program or just send yours in for chroming. How the exchange program would work is you would buy the chrome roll bar and then send yours back to him. I guess the advantage of the exchange program would be, you would able to remove the necessary trim and install the new ones all at once. If you sent yours in you would have to either leave your trim apart until the chrome ones arrived or remove it twice. He indicated it would only take about a week at his shop to chrome your roll bars. I told him that we have a forum member willing to sell his OEM roll bars for the exchange program. He would like to know which way most of you would prefer do it. Please indicate which way you would like to do it.
