Default A few questions before taking the plunge.

Hi all, I am considering buying an '04 coupe. It has 50k on it, appears to be in great condition, and the carfax came up clean. I'm pretty sure the last owner was a pretty old guy who would pass me going about 15 mph on the dirt road where I run. My major concern is the last car that I purchased that was a mutant child of two car companies (Dodge Stealth) was horribly difficult to repair and get parts for. I had a few questions that maybe you can help me with.

1. Are you able to use parts from the SLK of the same year?
2. If something went wrong that I could not fix, would I be better off taking it to a Mercedes dealer? It seems that if I take it to Chrysler I might as well find an independent mechanic.
3. How many miles are you putting on yours? Can I expect the car to last as a daily driver?

Thanks, and if i missed a thread where these questions were answered you can just point me there.
