The Crossfire's engine has what appears to be a dual cold air straw going into a small volume airbox on either side of the engine. Increase the airbox size, increase throttle response. I wouldn't move the straws, though. Move them too low and they suck in hot asphalt air, too high and the aerodynamics of the car will prevent large volumes of air from being sucked in. Carbon Fiber may give you some weight decrease, but it wouldn't block any heat from the engine bay. I'd suggest a larger airbox with the same straws, or a long powder-coated aluminum ram tucked underneath the headlights outside of the engine bay in front of the wheel well.
