Anybody out there ever whip up a Street Legal dual exhaust set-up?

I saw the thread about the off-road duals. Very cool but sorta LOUD. I'm looking for a street system. I want to hear individual exhaust pulses at idle and low speed. A nice purr/growl thing. The "y" pipe muddies-up the sound. I wanta' hear budda-budda-budda-budda at idle not whrrr-Hmmm.

Plan on re-using the stock tips; I think they are a crucial styling element.
