I have a Renntech kit in my car and the best way I have found to launch is to turn the traction control off. Play with it a little to get the feel of how fast to gradually push the gas pedal down just to the point of spinning a little, but not enough to really break loose, hit redline and let it go to second gear. It's pretty tough to get the feel down, but I'm learning.
