I purchased my XF about a month ago and spent the month before going through the same internal conflict as you. I test drove each style a couple of times. Since this too was going to be my "weekend car" I had to consider what I do on weekends. As a competitive shooter, I actually took my gun cases (empty of course) with me to the dealer and tried to fit them in the trunk and they didn't fit in the roadster. The roadster can carry two people and barely a single bag if the top is down. (I have a friend who says that the XF luggage doesn't even fit in his roadster's trunk. German engineering at it's best!) I finally made my decision based on: I wanted to carry more than just a passenger; I like the lines of the coupe better (not that I haven't thought of buying a second XF, it being a roadster); and I already have a Sebring Convertible if the weather is fine and I want to drive a convertible.
