umm i may be insane but i have been driving one since 99 and a stick shift dohc runs high 15s ...
visit neons.org for over ten years of accumulated information from neon enthusiasts ...
2,450 lbs + 150 hp + 3.94 geared 5 speed = pretty quick for a economy car
not to mention handling that put miata in second place in SCCA when the came out ... great little cars.
really please do visit the site to get a better idea of the car ... back in '99 i ran 15.2 - 15.4 in my fully loaded R/T model (100 lbs heavier than base ... and even more so than a ACR) at Englishtown, NJ's Raceway Park every other week on test and tune days ... and this was on all season 195 width tires that hooked like crap and me being a new driver all together ...
