Wow! I find the ignorance here breathtaking. A first gen 5 speed DOHC Neon will run anywhere from a 15.8 to a 16.2 in the quarter, depending on the track, altitude and the driver. The 3 speed autos were major dogs, but the 5 speeds will easily embarrass many of the "it's just a neon" haters. It didn't take a lot to get one into the high 14's low 15's either. Plus, even stock the neon was a great handler and a properly driven ACR would show its *** to a crossfire in an autocross with little trouble. I love my Crossfire, but i respect what a Neon is, and can be made into with not much $$.
Best of all, it's NOT a damned HON-DUH!!!
