Nothing personal, but I'm not nuts about that ****. I'm actually digging the stock ****. I didn't think I'd like it cuz there's no leather, but it has a good feel and weight. Plus it mimics the shape of the hood & roof & dash.

The easy and permanent fix for the shifter lever popping off in reverse is to completely remove the retainer nut (the round nut which locks on the ****) and replace it with a small hose clamp. It is easy to remove, hides under the boot just like the retainer nut and locks the **** on the shift lever for good.

I discovered this about a year ago and it has completely solved the popping off issue permanently. It should have been designed this way but I guess it was too simple!
Go figure!
