Hemmings Muscle Machines is an exceptional classic car magazine, with well written stories and beautiful (full color) photography. It features cars owned by the average car enthusiast. (By that, I mean the cars don't have to be a show winning trailer queen to be considered noteworthy) I highly recommend it to anyone interested in muscle cars in general.
That being said, in their May 2007 issue they had an article about Dodge's newest show car the Demon, and this is how they started their story.

Solstice-like Roadster a hit in Geneva, but haven't we met before?
Chrysler seemed determined to chase away the clouds of impending financial doom when it launched the Demon concept in Geneva. Was it intended as an inspirational car for people who can't yet afford a Viper (or for those who might find the Chrysler Crossfire too fey)?


Now I don't know about you, but I never thought of the Crossfire as being "slightly mad" or "crazy". Nor do I feel it's attuned to the "supernatural world" or that it's "elflike" in nature.

Maybe I'm just too sensitive, but I thought it was a rather strange way to suggest how some people feel about our cars.
I sincerely doubt those owners of other supposedly "High Performance" vehicles out there who have been "owned" on by an SRT6, feel that it's Elfin in nature.
