Initially when the Crossfire came out I would have said that your salesman #2 may have been correct, they may not have been in the right tier to acquire the Crossfire or the SRT models. The way it was explained to me when I bought my car in 2004 was that dealerships had choose what tier packages they wanted to sell and then they had to take every car in that package. My dealership want the SRT4s and Viper Pickups so they were required to take two Crossfires a year, but if they weren't in that tier they couldn't order them. However, with the slow sales I wonder if Chrysler really stuck with that philosophy or if the my dealership fed me a line of malarkey.
