The eng cover you speak of is the air box.

This is not like a BMW where you have a eng cover and seperate air box.

It is all interconnected and as far as I can see a major componete of the car.

If you guys are thinking cold air box like Grumpe M or EIS you may have to re-think as there will be a mounting problem and it wont look too pretty.

One major change could be made to the intake tubes as they are very thin plastic items but even if made of ceramic the air will be heated as soon as it hits the eng cover.
