Default Re: Looking to purchase a XF Roadster in the DC area, few questions?

Hi Charlie, I got mine at the same place when it was Courtesy and so far so good. I've had it serviced twice and had the fan recall done as well as a lid lock repair and they did fine with it. I have mixed feelings about DAR. We had huge problems with their Toyota dealership in Silver Spring, that made me very reluctant when DAR was the only one back in '01 that could get me a PT Cruiser in the area. I got that out at Fairfax Chrysler and I have to tell you they were one of the best dealerships I've ever dealt with. The mechanic let me sit and watch them work on my car (this was on a Saturday).
The guy I bought my car from was a friend of my son's. He worked there about 3 months and I was lucky, he got me a great deal before he got fired.
I did notice a few weeks back when I had mine in for service one of their sales people was a bit pushy trying to get me to buy one of the cars you mentioned. I had to ask him why I needed a new one when mine only has 4,500 miles on it? Then he tried to sell me a PT Cruiser. Having been down that road twice, I politely excused myself and went to the waiting room to pass the time.
Good luck with the purchase.

Pat
