I've been thinking about a true dual system as well. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to fab up a real exhaust system, and would be a lot cheaper and probably better sounding than the borla system.

To do the system, I guess it would be best to run twin 2" pipes from the headers, go to test pipes, pull back together in a single center muffler. I like the exhaust tips already, so I'd definitely keep that.

I guess we'd be looking around $400 max for this system if you know the right people. I live in an area that doesn't have emissions inspections, so I wouldn't have to worry about it being street legal.

So would twin 2" pipes be big enough? I have a 2005 Ltd. 6sp
