With HDDP having the car 2" lower to the ground at this point is probably increasing his downforce numbers already as the air is being forced over and around the car instead of being allowed to slip under it.
Also, with the monster wing he has in the rear, higher speed corners are not as much of an issue. It's the slower portions of the track that are the problem. Most of these slower corners will not benefit as much from the aerodynamic modifications in the articles you have pointed him to. Most of the techniques shown are mainly for purpose built cars, not OEM cars that have been race prepped.
I'm not saying they aren't things to look at, but I think he will get more benefit from time spent tuning that suspension and wing at this point and getting those dialed in. Then he can start doing little aerodynamic modifications to the underside to smooth the airflow under there as well as maybe a splitter on the front to help guide the air around the nose even better.
