Default Re: New owner, New Slide Project.

don't over complicate things ... its a 3.2 with plenty of exhaust flow ... dump a GT35R in the rear since the original muffler location is a heavens send as far as places to put a remote turbo and leave it at that. you guys planning on running a seperate gravity fed and pump evacuated oiling system for it or plumb it directly from the main oil system and evacuate with a pump ?

if it turns out you need the turbo to spool a bit faster than it can back there (don't listen to stories about remote systems being laggy, they are spread by people that have never had one based on what they think its like) then you can always have the original exhaust manifolds (they are double walled) ceramic coated and heat wrap the exhaust tubing all the way to the turbo (since cermic coating will get sand blasted by track debree and eventually come off) and that should be good for a few hundred RPM increase in spool time ...

also, any plan for a water injection setup ? i am definately not skipping that step myself ... wondering if you are planning this as well. with no way to adjust the timing (dual spark plug system alternates between plugs as to which fires first making it not possible to hook greddy emanage into it ... otherwise the coil on plug system would be controllable) other than reprogramming the ECU (not worth the money since water injection will prevent detonation and mean extra response and power with the original timing) i am definately doing water injection as my solution for running decent power.
