When I bought my XF it had >40K miles on it. I purchased, direct from Chrysler through the dealer, a 5 year 50K mile warranty that started the date I purchased the vehicle. It covers 5,004 parts (I believe it's called Maximum Care Warranty) which is basically bumper-to-bumper. The cost was rolled into the total purchase price but I believe it was about $1,600 to 1,800. To me it is worth it. No worries for a long time.
