A "certified" car carries an 8/80 limited powertrain warranty. The dealer pays DC for that ($400-450 IIRC). This warranty starts on the in service date of the car. For that $1,600, i hope you got the "max care" warranty.

Early build 04's carried a 7/70 powertrain that stayed with the car. IN other words, it was transferable to any number of subsequent owners, and there was no transfer fee. DC changed that policy for most of the 04' and later Crossfires to a 7/70 transferable to the second owner for a $150 fee. I believe the cutoff was 10/03 build date.
