Default Re: Windscreen & Side Grills

When putting on the windscreen the directions say's to check the fit. When I set the sides on the pillars the top inside corners did not lay flush, they stuck up about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, I tried doing a little twisting to get them to lay better, but it didn't help. Did anyone else have that problem? I cleaned the surface two times with alcohol and wiped it down, but the one on the right side is starting to stick up a little, I even added a little more tape. I also added more tape to the windshield edge of the center piece and it didn't want to fit right so I had to take it back off. While trying to get it off the new tape that I applied stuck like I've never seen double sided tape stick, I ended up putting some small wrinkles in the center piece. I was going to take it to a place that does metal massaging like they do for hail damage and just apply new tape, but I found that the 3M tape that you get at the local parts store is thicker than what comes with the windscreen. I think that may have caused it not to set right to begin with. I tried to get just a new center piece, but it was a no go, you have to buy the whole set. Did anyone else run into any similar problems?
