I have a magnaflow exhaust with the sprint booster and this tank that I just filled up was 92 un-oxygenated, I cut the ports out from behind the grille and I feel like I can feel a difference. That box is definitely holding back some horsepower like X said when he had his dynoed with and without the engine cover on. Whether or not I'm getting true cold air isn't the factor. If you have ever driver for an hour sometimes a half and hour and felt the engine cover or even the tubes they are hotter then hell. This past week when I got home ready to work on this I couldn't even hang onto the engine cover it was so hot on the underside. Anyway let me know what you think...
I'm really not sure what you are trying to do here. Is this car for the street or track. I think you could have saved yourself a lot of time and money and just bought an SRT. Much easier in my opinion. If you are just trying to get the horsepower of an SRT, all I can say is good luck, but I doubt you can do it without some very serious cash. I know. I have been racing for over 30 years. Started drag racing motorcycles when I was 16, went uphill from that point. Sold my Top Comp car 3 years ago. So I too can argue horsepower and torque all day. When I read stryfox's post all I could do was grin. He pretty much hit the nail on the head.
All I want anymore is something reliable, quiet, easy on the eyes, and does .9G corners at the blink of an eye. That's not asking for much is it? LOL. After you turn 50 ya start to see things a little different...
